About

So, these cards are all from the early 2000s, when I was big into Neopets as a kid (I returned in late 2023 to watch the new staff make Neo-billionaires cry and I regret NOTHING). Even after about 20 years of not really interacting with Neopets, I never had the heart to get rid of them since they're such a nostalgic part of my childhood. Some of the promo cards are actually the ones they were giving away at McDonald's alongside mini plushies (some of which I also still have lol).

Since they're such an old, niche thing, I haven't really seen anyone make up a collection-tracking site for them, so I've gotta list what I've got below instead of on a third party site. Shoutout to JellyNeo for the images, though, with their Merch Database.

Aisha Myriad trading card; its attributes are Item, Myriad, and Light. The item itself is a boxy blue device with colorful buttons and levers against a green background. The card background is red, and the card description reads: 'To play this in a contest, you need a Light Neopet. When you play this card in a contest, reveal the top 4 cards of your deck. You get the stat bonuses and contest effects of all Items there. (They get discarded at the end of the contest.) Put all of the other cards on the bottom of your deck.' The italicized flavor text reads: 'The Alien Aishas came up with this strange device. Press a button and see what happens. Go on....'
Commander Garoo trading card; its attributes are Villain, Blumaroo, and Air. The commander, an angry looking navy-blue Blumaroo with black and gold armor, stands behind three Grundos with glowing white eyes. The card background is black, and the card description reads: 'To play this, you need an Air Neopet. Earth rivals get +5 to all stats in contests against this Villain. When this Villain loses a contest, the player who defeated it draws a card.'
The Ensorcellator trading card; its attributes are Equipment, Weapon, Earth. The card art shows a branch-like wand sending out a swirl of pink smoke that appears to be hypnotizing an Usul, an Acara, and a Poogle. The card background is blue, and the card description reads: 'To play this, tap 1 of your Earth Neopets. When this Neopet or Hero wins a strength or magic contest, your opponent moves each rival to another arena of his or her choice. (He or she doesn't have to move them all to the same arena.)' The italicized flavor text reads: 'And who do we obey without question?''You, master. We obey you.'
Illusen trading card; its attributes are Hero, Faerie, and Earth. Illusen, an Earth faerie with long red hair that has green streaks in it, holds out a sprouting seed in her palm. The card background is white, and the card description reads: 'To play this, tap 1 of your Earth Neopets. When you play this card, you may move each of your Earth Neopets to an arena of your choice. (They all don't have to move to the same arena.)' The italicized flavor text reads: 'Illusen moved to Meridell to try to get some peace and quiet, and then Lord Darigan arrived.'
